The 2010 - 2011 scholarship winner was
David Anton Larson
David is a graduate of Silverton High School and will attend the University of Washington in their honors department. He will study engineering and most likely major in Mechanical Engineering. David’s passion for science and technology inspired him establish a team of Silverton High students to participate in FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics program www.usfirst.org and during his senior year, his team won the Rockwell Collins Invitation Award in robotics. We offer our prayers and support for David as he works to develop technologies that will improve and perhaps revolutionize the world we live in.

The 2009-2010 scholarship winner was Jared Hilton
Jared is a graduate of Silverton High School and attended its Health Occupation program. He is attending the University of Rochester to pursue a career as a Medical Doctor. Jared was inspired by a licensed Naturopathic Physician and it was this person’s medical philosophy and the Health Occupation class that confirmed his convictions to enter the medical field.

The 2008-2009 scholarship winner was AmberRose Houck
Amber is a graduate of Molalla High School. She is attending Oregon State University to receive a bachelor’s degree in chemistry with plans to pursue a master’s degree and doctorate degree in pharmaceutical chemistry with the goal of finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. God bless AmberRose as she directs her research to find a cure for this crippling disease.

The 2007-2008 scholarship winner was Patty Diaz
Patty Diaz is a graduate of Silverton High School. She is attending Linfield College and plans on pursuing a carrier in medicine as a family medical doctor. God bless Patty on her journey to cure others.

The 2006-2007 scholarship winner was Alia Beyer
Alia Beyer is a graduate of Molalla High School. She is planning to attend St, Mary’s College of California and pursue research studies in biopolymers and biodegradable consumables from the coal and oil industries. May God bless your studies, Alia!

Leah comes from a family of 15 children and is a graduate of Silverton High School. She is attending Chemeketa Community College, education goals are to pursue a degree in Teacher Education with plans of becoming a School Counselor. Good Luck Leah.
